Salvation by Roselean Naidu

(The Lansing state journal
ran an article on June 23, 2009, about a 36-year-old involved in a skateboarding accident: "it was a death that could have been avoided, officials said. "Paul Maxim, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered a skull fracture and other head injuries in an accident June 18 at ranney skate park near Frandor. He died Saturday. "'a simple helmet would have saved his life,' said Lansing fire public information officer Steve Mazurek." 2. This story stands in stark contrast with an article that appeared in the Manchester evening news on july 4, 2008: "Savannah Haworth, 11, was knocked unconscious after falling into the path of the car, "the wheels went over her arm and top of her helmet but she escaped with a swollen elbow and bruising to her face." her parents say she would have been killed without the helmet and are now urging all cyclists to wear them.") Taken from http://www.freebiblestudyguides.org/bible-teachings/armor-of-god-helmet-of-salvation.htm. It's incredible to think that the absence or presence of a helmet can make so much of a difference. It's essential the difference between life and death.

So why do we need a helmet of salvation?
Yesterday, we had a bowling night it was called "bowling for the soul," It was organized by our youths the announcement were made people received the message. People began to talk and decided whether they're going are not. Then someone on Facebook created an invitation and invited everyone also stated if we missed anyone to spread the news because everyone is welcomed but, to go you need to pay $10. As the announcements and the invites were being spread the date kept approaching. In this time some said I don't have time I'm busy, I'm not sure I want to come, another said I already have prior arrangements maybe next time. Some said I don't want to pay $10 it's too much I can't afford it's not for me, some heard the announcement but, pretended not to hear, some even saw the invitation but, pretended not to see. Yet, some people even talked others from not going and people listened to them. The day came; the time came for the bowling night those who accepted to pay $10 got to bowl at the Boonie Doon mall. There it was peaceful, painless, no one cried, no work to do, no deadline to pass, no drama to deal with. All you saw were people bowling with smiles, laughter, and fellowship spreading across the room. Those who missed the bowling night missed the opportunity because the day has passed and there won't be another.
How does this apply to Salvation?
Well, When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden sin was created. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear Isa 59:2. God our father still loved us and wanted the separation to be no more but how. Then God gave to Moses the 10 commandments for people to follow and obey Exodus 20:1-17 but, still sin kept going. So the announcement was made just like for bowling night. Jesus was born on earth we call it Christmas day but not by his will but the will of his father mentioned in John 14:10. Here on earth Jesus died on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice and resurrected. Like the person on Facebook who sent out an invitation so did Jesus we know it as john 3:16. Jesus also mentioned to tell everyone about the invitation in Mark 16:15-18 "the great commission." We are still waiting for Jesus to come………The question is do you believe? Are you willing receive him as your personal saviour? In knowing the truth are you willing to have salvation to have eternal life just like paying $10 for bowling night? Or are you going to make excuses? No time…too busy….not sure……it's not for me…..i don't want to hear about it…….I don't believe……..listening to false prophets. In Rev 21:1-6 it is written:
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."
And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true." Then He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
JUST LIKE THE BOWLING NIGHT WAS A REAL EVENT SO IS HEAVEN BUT MUCH MORE AWESOME.
Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. Rev 1:7
WHAT ARE WE DOING, TODAY TO PREPARE FOR THE END? Do you have your helmet of salvation on? I know I do.

as simply as i can put it

christmas isn't about the santa or the big gifts.  It's not all about the turkey dinner but, it;s about the love God has for us and the pain Jesus endured for us we celebrate this love and call it "Merry Christmas," not "happy holidays."  This is our time to tell others about the love God has and will have for us forever and ever.  So spread the world and christmas cheers,  Praise the Lord and have a very Merry Christmas.

rock by Roselean

The two kinds of people

Which one are you?

Matthew 7:24-27

24. Everyone who hears my words and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house upon the rock,  26.It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and hit that house.  But, it did not fall, because it was built on the rock. 27.Everyone who hears my words and does not obey them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and hit that house and it fell with a big crash.

RE: Our church building

To all our fellow bloggers,
Our church "FAITH CHRISTAIN FELLOWSHIP," has purchased a property for a future church building in 2006.  Currently, we hold our church services in Vanguard college in a classroom.  This year we as a church have raised money for this project to pursue further such as Curry Night and many donations from people.  We have also prepared a blueprint of how we want a church.  Our building project Coordinator is working very hard to have funds to start this project.  If you would like to help us in any way please feel free to contact Pastor Sanjit kumar Sanjitk@shaw.ca.  Any donation made will be issued a tax receipt as our church is a recognized charitable organization.

Thank you for all your support it's much appreciated

Should christain's celebrate HALLOWEEN

"Question: "Should Christians celebrate Halloween?"

Answer:
Whether or not Christians should celebrate
Halloween can be a very controversial topic. Some Christians celebrate Halloween simply by dressing up in a costume and having fun, seeing it as innocent and harmless. Other Christians are equally convinced that Halloween is a satanic holiday established to worship evil spirits and promote darkness and wickedness. So, who is right? Is it possible for Christians to celebrate Halloween without compromising their faith?

Halloween, no matter how commercialized, has almost completely pagan origins. As innocent as it may seem to some, it is not something to be taken lightly. Christians tend to have various ways to celebrate or not to celebrate Halloween. For some, it means having an “alternative” Harvest Party. For others, it is staying away from the ghosts, witches, goblins, etc., and wearing innocuous costumes, e.g., little princesses, clowns, cowboys, super-heroes, etc. Some choose not to do anything, electing to lock themselves in the house with the lights off. With our freedom as Christians, we are at liberty to decide how to act.

Scripture does not speak at all about Halloween, but it does give us some principles on which we can make a decision. In Old Testament Israel, witchcraft was a crime punishable by death (Exodus 22:18; Leviticus 19:31; 20:6, 27). The New Testament teaching about the occult is clear. Acts 8:9-24, the story of Simon, shows that occultism and Christianity don't mix. The account of Elymas the sorcerer in Acts 13:6-11 reveals that sorcery is violently opposed to Christianity. Paul called Elymas a child of the devil, an enemy of righteousness and a perverter of the ways of God. In Acts 16, at Philippi, a fortune-telling girl lost her demon powers when the evil spirit was cast out by Paul. The interesting matter here is that Paul refused to allow even good statements to come from a demon-influenced person. Acts 19 shows new converts who have abruptly broken with their former occultism by confessing, showing their evil deeds, bringing their magic paraphernalia, and burning it before everyone (Acts 19:19).

So, should a Christian celebrate Halloween? Is there anything evil about a Christian dressing up as a princess or cowboy and going around the block asking for candy? No, there is not. Are there things about Halloween that are anti-Christian and should be avoided? Absolutely! If parents are going to allow their children to participate in Halloween, they should make sure to keep them from getting involved in the darker aspects of the day. If Christians are going to take part in Halloween, their attitude, dress, and most importantly, their behavior should still reflect a redeemed life (Philippians 1:27). There are many churches that hold "harvest festivals" and incorporate costumes, but in a godly environment. There are many Christians who hand out tracts that share the Gospel along with the Halloween candy. The decision is ultimately ours to make. But as with all things, we are to incorporate the principles of Romans 14. We can’t allow our own convictions about a holiday to cause division in the body of Christ, nor can we use our freedom to cause others to stumble in their faith. We are to do all things as to the Lord." copied from www.gotquestion,org
