Matthew 7:24-27

24. Everyone who hears my words and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house upon the rock,  26.It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and hit that house.  But, it did not fall, because it was built on the rock. 27.Everyone who hears my words and does not obey them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. Sand:

is a naturally occurring granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. The composition of sand is highly variable, depending on the local rock sources and conditions

The foolish man

What is a foolish person really mean:

Someone who doesn’t listen, understands and lacks knowledge

Ever build a sand castle near the water one wave can destroy it

What is a wise person really mean:

Someone who has patience, compassion, reasoning, and knowledge

Rock:

-naturally occurring solid aggregate of minerals.

Desciption:

-Lots of rigids

-Hard to destroy but, can occur with erosion but is a slower process

What's with the cursing by Roselean Naidu

THE DEFINITION

•       An appeal or prayer for evil or misfortune to befall someone or something.

•       The evil or misfortune that comes in or as if in response to such an appeal: bewailed the curse of ill health.

Why do people curse one another?

•       Anger

•       Jealousy

•       Self-centered

•       Mean-spirited

How does cursing spread?

•       Role of the adults is to show a positive attitude and actions to a younger child 

                (be a good role model)

•       Children are like a sponge they absorb information good or bad cause in their eyes parents are always right

What does the bible say about, “cursing”

"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith" (Galatians 3:13-14).

How do I get out of “the curse”

•       Repent against any evil doing YOU MAY HAVE DONE

•       Prayer

•       DON’T CURSE BACK AND THEN END UP WITH GENERATIONAL CURSES

•       Romans 12:21

•       New International Version (NIV)

How do I get out of “the curse”

"Father, I ask you first to forgive me for my sins and cleanse me from any area where I have allowed the devil to enter my life. I renounce any involvement with the works of darkness.
